Huae CNE Staae Show Requests

A Toronto Nisei girl will ap
pear in the big song-and-dance
chorus of 100 at the grand
stand show in the two-week
long Canadian National Exhibi
tion this year.
Naomi Kimura was selected
as one of the chorus girls when
she auditioned last week for
producer-director Jack
thur’s extravaganza in the
largest annual exhibition in
the world. She was one of 39
girls chosen at the audition.
Miss Kimura has been taking
up dancing seriously for four
years with the Boris Volkoff
Ballet Studio in Toronto.
The featured performer of
the CNE grandstand show this
year is to be stage and screen
star Betty Hutton who suc
ceeds to the top billing held by
Danny Kaye and Jimmy Dur
ante in previous years.
