________ HELP WANTED

The little girl I once -was grew up as we all must grow up.
And with adulthood I 'relinquished much that we would like to
hold on to, and lost much more that could serve us in good stead.
When we have acquired something of experience, and are capable
of understanding the Easter Story, our contacts with life have
made us cautious, wary, even skeptical, and less prone to accept
that which we cannot see. A kind of material blindness comes
over the best of us, and we are more apt to discredit certain
things which we would like to believe to be true.
And just about the time of year when hope seems worn thin,
the miracle of Easter happens before my eyes. The snow melts.
The. air breathes tenderness. A robin bursts into song. And there
is heard everywhere—even in my questioning heart—that eternal
song of hope. If I discredit many things, I . cannot discredit the
yearly awakening of spring, spilling its beauty everywhere.
