nament sponsored by the Ontario
Blackbelt Association will be held
this Saturday, April 13, 7:30 p.m.
at the YMHA gym, Bloor and
Spadina in Toronto.

being represented by five men.
Taking part from Toronto will
be the Kidokan, Mukai. Hatashita. West End YMCA. Central

Jean will also send their leading
contenders.
Admission to the tournament
will be $1.00.

Leslie O’Connor of the Pacific
Coast League said last week that

Pacific baseball world series this
year in Japan matching the top
PCL champions and the top Japanese team.
“This would involve a Pacific
World Series conducted in the
same manner of the world series,
the best four-of-seven game's,” he
said.
The proposed series is tenta­
tively slated to begin about Oct.
20. If successful, it would become
an annual affair.
