Japanese Canadian to be granted
a Fellowship to the American
College of Surgeons recently.
He was among five Edmonton
surgeons who were. appointed
Fellows at the recent 43rd an­
nual clinical congress of the
American College of Surgeons in
Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Dr. Yoneda, a graduate of-the
University of Alberta medical
school in 1944, was also the first
JC to be declared a Fellow of the
Royal College of Surgeons of
Canada.
Both fellowships were
for work in obstetrics and gyne­
cology.
