The New Canadian again takes great pleasure in. honoring
the first Japanese Canadian born and parents for the tenth
consecutive year in its NC Stork Derby Contest, 1960.
The winner over four entries, three from Toronto, one
from Montreal, is Lloyd Hajime Tanaka, the NC’s 1960 Honor
Baby who was ushered into this world by Dr. E. H. Kuwabara
Precisely 10:37 P.M. on New Year’s day, 1960, at St.
Michael’s Hospital weighing four pounds, ten ounces.
Llyod is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Noboru Tanaka of 133
Bernice Crescent, Toronto 9, Ontario.
Runners-up are Kenneth Takashi Tamaki, son of Kenji
and Mitsuko Tamaki of 102 Ernnerdale Road, Toronto 10, born
