TORONTO—The Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre’s, Film
Society presents “A Story From Echigo” as their next selection on
Sunday, November 14th at the New Yorker Theatre, (Yonge and
Bloor).
The film depicts a tragedy in Japan’s snow,country. Starring
roles are performed by Rentaro Mikuni, Shoichi Ozawa, Yoshiko
Sakuma, and Tanie Kitabayashi. The film is directed by Berlin
Festival Prize winner, Tadashi Imai.
The Centre suggests that an ideal Xmas gift for the Issei
would be a season’s ticket for the rest of the Film Society’s Japanese films. Payment plan is available on request.
