elects Japanese-born wo man President
A very senior citizen — Shigechiyo Izumi, who according
; to Japanese records is 117 years bld and who the Guiness
Book of Records lists as the oldest “authenticated” man
on earth, poses with distant family members, Yorie Izumi

Satoi (right). Izumi lives quietly in a house on the tropic
island of Tokumoshima, Japan, where his major activity is
receiving the thousands of tourists and others who visit
him annually.
