Writer S. Takashima says Ms. Matsui not accurate
The New Canadian
479 Queen St. W., Toronto

The Editor:
I am writing about the article which. The New Canadian
printed in Aug. 23rd issue. The headline reads, JCCA and
Sodan-Kai Form Toronto Redress Group by Marcia Mats u i .
I read this article and I find Ms. Matsui's report very mis
leading and is not an accurate report of what took place

at this meeting. I was there!
First of all, it was not, as Ms. Matsui made it out to
be, “in spirit of co-operation ...” I am talking about the se
cond half of the agenda. The first half, which Mr. F. Moritsugu chaired, was handled smoothly. But the second
half, chaired by Mr. Jim Matsui, was not handled in the
spirit of co-operation. In fact, I and the others who were
with me felt a strong power-play by the Sodan-Kai mem
bers against the Toronto JCCA!
