TORONTO. — The Toronto Buddhist Church last year
hosted a very successful Eastern Buddhist League Conven
tion with representation from numerous eastern Canada and
United States temples, as well as from California and the
Buddhist Churches of America Headquarters.
This year, the local church is hosting the first Buddhist
Churches of Canada Convention geared to the family and
members-at-large, rather than just delegates from the various
centres. This will take place here in Toronto over the Easter
weekend — April 1st to the 3rd, 1988, with the Ministerial
Association meeting scheduled from March 31st. During the
course of 3 days, the B.C.C. Annual General Meeting, the
Women's Federation Meeting (in readiness for the World
Women's Federation Meeting in 1990), and various open
discussions are planned, as well as a banquet dinner/dance
at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre on Saturday Aoril

Canada on threat of being
