the benefit of the church.
Guidelines for the Bishop Ishlura Travel Grant
1. That the applicant be a full-time high school or post secondary school
level student.
2. That the applicant be a member of the Toronto Buddhist Church Sunday
School, Youth Department or Orchestra, or an offspring of a member of the
Toronto Buddhist Church.
.3. That the applicant travel abroad (outside of Canada) for the purpose of
educational or cultural pursuits.
4. That the applicant submit a report with respect to his/her travels; usu
ally presentation is made in the month of September; i.e., Rally Sunday or
Graduates' Tea.
5. That one person may receive only one Travel Grant during his/her life
time.
6. Special study or cultural groups affiliated with the Toronto Buddhist
Church are eligible to apply for a grant under the same guidelines as for in
dividual applications. Guidelines 4 and 5 will not apply to group applicants. A
report on the trip in the church publication (Guiding Light) should be made.
If you are graduating from high school at the end of this school year, are
currently involved in post-secondary education or are contemplating a trip
abroad to pursue educational, cultural or religious interests and wish to apply
